This jam is open to anyone 21 and over with intermediate or higher-skill level. Our goal is to learn from each other and have fun making music together.
If you’re a perfectionist who lacks patience or kindness, this probably isn’t the right fit. But if you love music, good vibes, and making new friends — let’s jam! 🎸
🎶 About Me
I’m a 58-year-old retired public administrator and longtime political and campaign consultant — as well as a proud father of two (36 and 33) and grandfather of two.
I’m an amateur poet, songwriter, and intermediate bassist. I played in a band back in the ’90s and picked the bass back up a couple of years ago. At this point, I’m bored with scales and solo practice — I’m ready to make music with others again.
I’m not much for the bar scene, so I’m looking to connect with fellow musicians who want to jam, share ideas, and grow together. I’d describe myself as an intermediate player who’s serious about improving, so if you’re more advanced, I just ask that you be patient — maybe even take on a bit of a mentor role.
Other bassists are welcome too, as long as you’re open to teaching. I’m always eager to learn.
That said, this jam happens in my home. I’m a grown man who’s been successful in life, so I’m not interested in egos — just good people who genuinely love music and want a creative outlet with others from different backgrounds and skill levels. Think of it as a little musical fellowship.
At the end of the day, it’s all about the music, the creativity, and the company and fellowship.
Studio M
Studio "M" (The Green Room) is a fully equipped home studio in my basement on the north side of Waukegan — no need to haul a ton of gear! The space has a five-piece drum kit, two guitar amps, a bass amp, and a full PA system. Just bring your guitar and pedals, and you’re good to go. Let’s jam!
There is also a pool table, dart board and Tv's for when you're not playing. It has a private club vibe.
